The Pillars to Bullet Proof Nutrition
A Framework for Eating
Don’t overcomplicate nutrition. It's not about a one-size-fits-all approach; it's about finding what works for you based on your activity level, your location, your lifestyle, your preferences, your genetics and more. Here are some guidelines:

1. Embrace Whole Foods: If you want peak performance, why not fuel your body with premium fuel? – rich in nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. Focus on fresh fruits, vegetables, lean meats, and whole grains.
2. Try Intermittent Fasting: Intermittent fasting isn't about starvation; it's about giving your digestive system a break, leading to improved energy levels and better digestion. Fasting during your morning hours of deep work can help you focus without feeling sluggish or satiated. Not eating 2-3 hours before bed will also greatly benefit your sleep quality and be favorable for your metabolism.
3. Prioritize Protein: Getting adequate protein is crucial for maintaining muscle mass and overall health. Whether you are on a deficit or a surplus, protein will be essential for maintaining lean muscle mass. Getting your protein across 3 or more different servings will be ideal for absorption and ensuring you are getting an adequate amount. E.g. protein with 2 meals and a protein snack in between…
4. Low-carb: It's about reducing sugar and starch intake, which can help in managing weight and stabilizing energy levels. Aim to source your carbs from things like: Sweet potatoes, wild rice, quinoa, bulgar, fruit…
5. Avoid Sugar and Seed Oils: Cutting sugar and seed oils from your diet are two easy wins. Minimizing them helps reduce inflammation and supports overall health. It’s the low-hanging fruit, something everyone can agree on across all diet types.
6. Get Healthy Fats: Avocados, nuts, olive oil, and fatty fish are great sources. They’re essential for brain health and energy.
Remember, it's all about experimentation and adaptation. What works for one person may not work for another. It's about testing and applying different aspects within these pillars to see what aligns best with your lifestyle, goals, and needs. If you can stick to this framework when eating at home or preparing your own meals, staying in shape and getting in shape will become self-fulfilling.
Give it a try and notice how it impacts your sleep, mental clarity, skin health, energy levels and more…
